NCA is Hiring: Communications Coordinator + Environmental Educator

Newtown Creek Alliance (NCA) is pleased to announce that we are expanding our team and bringing on two part time positions to complement our existing staff. The job descriptions can be found below – the deadline to apply for both positions is April 10th, 2021.


Communications Coordinator (Part time)
NCA is hiring a part-time communications coordinator to develop and manage NCA’s communications content and platforms, including messaging relating to the organization’s programming, engagement opportunities for the surrounding communities, and educational information about the Creek itself. The Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director to manage our websites, email blasts, social media accounts and graphic design needs. Environmental Educator (Part time / Seasonal)
NCA is hiring a part-time educator to work with us in the transformation and expansion of our place-based environmental educational programming. Prior to the pandemic, our educational programming primarily consisted of in person field trips. However, since in-person activities are still severely limited, the position will instead focus on the creation of alternative virtual programming and innovative hybrid opportunities as the city transitions into recovery.
