In conjunction with Jane’s Walk NYC, join the Newtown Creek Alliance (NCA) for a walking tour to witness and discuss a number of environmental issues relating to our local superfund site: Newtown Creek. The tour will bring us to key access sites and restoration projects along the waterway as we head upstream along the Greenpoint shoreline. We will begin at the Manhattan Avenue Street End Park in Greenpoint and culminate at the Kingsland Wildflowers Green Roof, where participants can join in NCA’s weekly Open Hours series to enjoy the sunset from the green roof meadows.
