Please join NCA and the office of Council Member Antonio Reynoso for an evening of discussion and presentations about issues surrounding Newtown Creek. We will cover a number of topics pertinent to the history, contamination, current use and cleanup options with a specific focus on areas near the head of the Creek, such as English Kills.
The communities of East Williamsburg, Bushwick and Ridgewood are in close proximity to some of the most polluted sections of the Creek, but a growing interest in restoring these areas to a cleaner, more sustainable and inviting state could help transform that. Come learn more about this area (your local waterway!) and ways to create a cleaner environment in the future. Hosted by the Williamsburg Charter High School. Snacks and drinks will be provided! RSVP and share our facebook event.
