Join us at the Dutch Kills tributary of Newtown Creek for this year’s City of Water Day. Newtown Creek Alliance and members of the Dutch Kills Loop project will host an afternoon of activities to engage participants with the issues and opportunities for creating much-needed open space, resilience measures near this branch of the NY/NJ Estuary, and various ecological improvements within dense industrial Long Island City. The event will include hands-on activities to clean up public areas next to the waterway along 29th street and finish with a walking tour around the project area.
