Join NCA and Hunters Point Parks Conservancy for a planting project at our pollinator meadow at the medians on 48th Ave. Participants will help plant native plants to add to our existing meadow, and learn about the importance of these ecosystems and the insects that inhabit them.
This event is part of “Insectaggedon” – a two-day world-wide collective celebration of insects and pollinators – led by The High Line and artist Cecilia Vicuña. Culminating the High Line’s month-long horticulture celebration, Celebrating Insects on the High Line, Insectageddon seeks to both reflect on and raise awareness for our interconnectedness with the insect world.
