The Living Dock
Over the last decade, Newtown Creek Alliance and partners have constructed two ‘living docks” and numerous floating wetlands to cultivate native marsh grasses and marine life, while providing recreational access in hard-to-reach shorelines. Wetland Frames

Bivalve Habitats
In partnership with Billion Oyster Project, Newtown Creek Alliance has added blank shell oyster cages and ECOcrete structures to the shoreline to promote bivalve settlement and create natural habitat for the Creek’s smaller marine life. Click below to learn more.
