Join us this fall for NCA’s Autumn Saturdays at the Kingsland Wildflowers green roofs! Each Saturday you can come enjoy the roofs, visit our Native Plant Nursery, and purchase native plants to take home with you. On select Saturdays there will also be the opportunity to volunteer with our Greenhouse Gang and help care for the Native Nursery. More info and sign up here.

Newtown Creek Alliance is excited to welcome volunteers to help out with our Greenhouse! Join us every third Tuesday of the month from May – September. Volunteers will assist us in up-potting and caring for our native plant nursery, many of which we grew from native seeds. Our horticulturalist, Brenda, will be onsite to guide activities and answer any questions about the plants. Register here!

Newtown Creek Alliance is excited to team up with Partnerships for Parks for a special volunteer day to cleanup Manhattan Avenue Street-End Park (M.A.S.E.). This event will include: pruning, weeding, transplanting, watering, and cleanup at the park. Get full details and sign up here.

Please bring your own pair of gloves if you have one. You should also bring your own water bottle, wear comfortable clothing and closed toed shoes. All volunteers must have also completed HPPC’s volunteer waiver (via the SignUp website).
