Open House at Plank Road – Oct 17th

DSC07575

NCA is teaming up with Open House New York once again this year to offer free Creek side tours and activity! The day will include two free walking tours led by NCA Historian Mitch Waxman, that will begin in East Williamsburg and arrive at Plank Road where NCA Program Manager Willis Elkins will show folks around the site and offer up some refreshments from cooler and grill (sodas and hot dogs). Visitors to the site can also help lend a hand with tasks like weeding, trash pickup and plantings. While space is limited on the walking tours, everyone is invited to stop by the Plank Road site at any point from 12 to 5pm to see the Creek, learn about it’s history and enjoy some refreshments (provided by NCA).

Plank Road is located at 58th Road and 47th Street in Maspeth, Queens.
