As part of the Fairy Rings: Gathering Series, coordinated by artist Jan Mun in partnership with Newtown Creek Alliance, this event will feature Earl Hatley, a co-founder of LEAD Agency, a grassroots organization in Oklahoma. LEAD’s original focus was the Tar Creek Superfund Site, a 40 sq mile area of abandoned lead and zinc mines impacting ten tribes located in the area.
The event will also include updates on local Water Quality and Superfund issues from NCA’s Executive Director Willis Elkins, and a discussion pertaining to long term cleanup strategies and goals relevant to Earl’s experience and insights. Registration and more info here.
