Announcing our new Bilingual Introduction to Newtown Creek Program Series!
The series will begin on May 12th via zoom with an historical review of the conditions of Newtown Creek, from its relation with indigionus people, through industrialization, to the challenges we’re facing in the XXI century. Participants will learn about the environment, green infrastructure, and community-led restoration efforts happening along the Creek.

La serie comenzará el 12 de Mayo vía zoom con una revisión histórica de las condiciones de Newtown Creek, desde su relación con los pueblos indígenas, a través de la industrialización, hasta los desafíos que estamos enfrentando en el siglo XXI. Los participantes aprenderán sobre el medio ambiente, la infraestructura verde y los esfuerzos de restauración dirigidos por la comunidad que se están llevando a cabo a lo largo del arroyo.
